Detail itinerary of Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400 m / 4,593 ft)..
You will be greeted by representatives of Himalayan Adventure Treks on reaching the Tribhuvan International Airport and will be transported to your hotel. The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu is a colorful and lively city and the daily life is a blend of history, culture and the beautiful old architecture. Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple are some of the religious places in Kathmandu.
Once you have checked into your hotel, you will have free time to relax and recover from your long flight. In the evening, you will be going through a briefing of the trek, during which your guide will clarify the trekking plan and address any concerns. It is also an opportune moment to check your trekking equipment as well as ensure that everything is in order before the adventure starts.
Another thing to do is to walk around Thamel, a tourist commercial centre which has shops, cafes, and restaurants. Here, you have an opportunity to taste the traditional Nepali food such as dal bhat and a warm cup of local tea. Because there is no trekking today, the emphasis will be on rest, preparation, and familiarizing with the environment before going into the mountains.

As you arrive at Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft), you will find that it is a bustling town located amid a hillside. It is referred to as the entrance to Everest and the heart of Sherpa culture.

This is the rest and acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. To allow your body to get used to the elevated altitude, acclimatization is essential. You will not just sit, but will give yourself a little walk to elevated places and come back.
In the morning, you will go to the Everest View Hotel (3,880 m / 12,730 ft), which is one of the best places to see in the area. It is a great spot to see the beautiful scenery of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and other mountains. You will proceed to hike to Khumjung village (3,790 m / 12,434 ft) after taking in the view.
In Khumjung, there is a local monastery and the Hillary School that was constructed to help the local population. This will provide an opportunity to know more about the culture and lifestyle of Sherpas.
You will be walking back to Namche Bazaar after the visit. Approximately 8 to 10 kilometers of walking is required, and it will take about 4 to 5 hours. The remaining time is to rest and have a look around the town.

Day 06: Trek from Diboche (3,700 m / 12,139 ft) to Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,469 ft).
You start today at Diboche and walk to Dingboche. It is about 10-11 km distance and about 7 hours. This day starts with a downward journey through the forest to a village called Deboche.
The trail slowly ascends again after passing a suspension bridge. You travel through the village of Pangboche (4,010 m / 13,156 ft), with one of the oldest settlements in the area. Here, the landscape is more open with fewer trees and larger views.
The path further descends into a peaceful valley, providing some of the most beautiful scenery of Ama Dablam, which is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas. The air gets thinner as you increase in altitude, and therefore, you should walk slowly.
At mid-afternoon, you will reach Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,469 ft). The village is located in a large valley with mountains, which offers the opportunity to rest peacefully.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,410 m / 14,469 ft).
It is another acclimatisation day at Dingboche today. Your body will need to adapt to the altitude, so you will have an optional hike to a higher elevation and then come back.
One option is to hike to Nangkartsang Peak of 5,083 m (16,676 ft), or Nagarjun of 5,000 m (16,404 ft). This hike will require roughly 3 to 4 hours. It is a challenging climb, though worthwhile, with 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains, including Makalu, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.
After reaching the viewpoint, you will go down to Dingboche. This high, low technique of climbing helps your body to adjust to high altitude.
The remaining time of the day is at leisure. You may visit the village, observe the mani walls or stone walls, or just relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere.

Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 m / 16,108 ft).
Today we are leaving Dingboche and going to Lobuche. The trial is approximately 8.8 kilometers and takes 5-6 hours. The trail starts with a gradual stroll, and then it gets steeper as you ascend.
You will pass the village of Dughla and reach a memorial site where there are stone monuments of the climbers who lost their lives on Everest. It is a significant and silent spot on the way.
In this case, the trail is up the gravelly rocks and glacier moraine. Terrain is drier and rougher; there are fewer signs of plants. It is important to walk slowly as the air is much thinner.
After a few hours of walking, you will arrive at Lobuche (4,910 m / 16,108 ft), a small village with high peaks and glaciers around. There are also close-up shots of mountains like Pumori and Nuptse, which can be seen straight out of the lodge.
You will have a night in a teahouse and prepare to take the next day’s trip to Everest Base Camp.

Today is the most interesting and satisfying day of the trek. It will cover a distance of 11.5 kilometers, which will require approximately 8-9 hours. The trip starts with a slow ascent from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,190 m / 17,028 ft), where you will have a brief rest.
You will leave your bags at Gorakshep, after which you will move towards Everest Base Camp. The track is a glacier moraine and rocky. About 2 kilometers later, you reach the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft).
It is a unique experience to be at the foot of Mount Everest. There will be prayer flags and, in climbing season, colorful expedition tents. It is also possible to see the Khumbu Icefall.
Once you are done with taking pictures and enjoying the experience, you will go back to Gorakshep to stay the night. It is physically taxing and the day is long, but when the Everest Base Camp is reached, no one will ever forget this day.

Day 10: Hike from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m / 18,192 ft) and Kathmandu (by helicopter).
It is the last and one of the most memorable days of your journey. On this day, in the early morning before the sun rises, you will start a short yet steep walk out of Gorakshep to Kala Patthar at 5,545 m (18,192 ft). The distance is approximately 3 kilometers, and the climb increases by approximately 500 meters in height. The trail is quite difficult, which is a result of the altitude and steepness, but the view from the top is truly memorable.
Kala Patthar will provide you with one of the most amazing views of the sunrise above Mount Everest. The south face of Everest is facing the golden light, which forms a breathtaking view. This perspective is one of the best and nearest panoramic viewpoints of Everest and the other peaks, and is a highlight of the whole trek.
You will then have time to savor the scenery and have a photo session, after which you will head back to Gorakshep to have breakfast. In the afternoon, you will fly by a helicopter to Kathmandu and enjoy a scenic flight which takes about 30 to 40 minutes. This is the last flight that will show you the aerial views of the Himalayas.
You will be having a farewell dinner in Kathmandu in the evening, where you will celebrate the successful completion of your trek.

اطلاعات سفر
مسیر پیادهروی چقدر دشوار است؟
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is considered moderately challenging. It is a mixture of normal trekking and a helicopter flight back; hence, it is not as difficult as a complete trek back.
The mountain trails you will be walking on will involve climbing up the mountain, stone steps, and rough paths over the course of several hours daily. The highest point of the trek is the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft), where the air is thinner, and the walking process seems to be more challenging.
The trek does not require technical climbing skills, but good stamina and a steady pace are important. Rest days will be incorporated to enable your body to adapt to altitude. The helicopter return eliminates the physical strain; hence, it is appropriate for the trekkers who wish to experience it in a shorter duration and a more comfortable way.
All in all, given the appropriate preparation and the right attitude, the majority of healthy people will be able to accomplish this journey.
آب و هوا و بهترین فصل برای کوهنوردی
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is a trek that is dependent on the weather. It is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) that are the best seasons. The skies are normally clear during these months, and the views of the mountains are great. Cold conditions are moderate at lower altitudes, but may have considerable snowfall at the higher altitudes, such as 5,360 m (17,585 ft).
There is more snow and colder weather during winter, and more rain and clouds that can cause changes in visibility and flight during the monsoons. Helicopter flights are particularly sensitive to good weather because they cannot be conducted in cloudy weather. Proper selection of the season can guarantee a safer and more enjoyable experience.
Deluxe Everest Heli Trek is particularly favored in spring and autumn, when weather conditions are stable, and the trek is comfortable.
غذا و نوشیدنی در طول سفر
During the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek, food is served at local teahouses on the way. There will be simple yet nutritious foods like rice, lentils, vegetables, noodles, and soups. The most frequent meal is Dal bhat which provides energy to travel long distances on foot. Breakfast is available in the form of eggs, bread, porridge, and tea or coffee.
The higher you go, the fewer choices there are of what to eat, particularly around Everest Base Camp at 5,360 m (17,585 ft). A lot of water should be consumed to keep the body hydrated. Boiled water, bottled water, or purification pills are usually used for clean drinking water.
The Everest Base Camp Heli Trek provides frequent meals during the trip, which ensures the trekkers have adequate energy to keep them going. Though the menu is not huge, it is made to cope with the demands of trekkers in a high-altitude environment.
محل اقامت
The Everest Base Camp Trek Helicopter Trek is accommodated in the best possible lodges along the route with a great emphasis on comfort and quality.
The route will have accommodation in comfortable mid-range teahouses, which will make the stay warm and pleasant, with electric blankets being available in most of them. You will be accommodated in Namaste Lodge or a similar standard teahouse in Phakding. During our stay at Namche Bazaar, we will be staying at Camp de Base. Onwards, at Diboche, you will pass by Rivendell Lodge, avoiding Tengboche between Namche and Diboche. Good Luck Lodge in Dingboche offers a comfortable setting, and in Lobuche, you will be accommodated in Altitude Oxygen.
Lastly, in Gorakshep, the Himalayan Lodge or equivalent will be organized. All accommodations will be equipped with modern rooms that have attached bathrooms with hot showers, where possible. It is necessary to note that, in Lobuche and Gorakshep, there will be no attached bathrooms, but an upgrade of the rooms with added comfort will be offered, which will provide a more enjoyable experience during the trek.
بیماری ارتفاع و پیشنهادات
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek has an issue with altitude sickness. It may require your body to adapt to lower oxygen levels as you climb higher (3,000 m / 9,843 ft). The symptoms may include a headache, dizziness, and fatigue.
The itinerary has acclimatization days, such as بازار نامچه and Dingboche, to minimize the risk. Consuming water adequately, walking briskly, and not taking alcohol help. In case of severe symptoms, it is required to go down to a lower altitude.
The Everest Heli Trek has an advantage in that the helicopter-assisted return means that people do not spend a lot of time at elevated levels, such as 5,360 m (17,585 ft). This will render the journey comfortable and safe. Always follow your guide and tell them in case you are unwell during the trek.
آمادگی و تناسب اندام
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek should be properly prepared. You need to be physically fit as the trek will involve walking for several hours a day. Endurance can be enhanced through training with light exercise, hiking, or normal walking.
The ultimate highest elevation is the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft), where the air is thin and physical exertion is more difficult. It is also necessary that one is mentally prepared because the process is not quick and easy.
The right equipment, including good trekking shoes, warm clothing, and other necessities, will ensure that the trip is more comfortable. The EBC Heli Trek is tailored in such a way that it minimizes physical effort with a helicopter back and is ideal in case the trekkers wish to have an all-around adventure without much hard work.
ویزا و مجوزها
Individuals who are part of the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek must have a valid Nepal visa and trekking permits. The visa is either obtained at the airport or beforehand through the Nepal Embassy in your country.
These are the Sagarmatha National Park entry permit and a local area permit, which are the main permits that are needed. These permits allow you to visit and walk inside the Everest area to the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft). It is important to carry your permits during the trek as they may be checked at various points.
Himalayan Adventure Treks will also secure all the permits that will help make the process easy. This will allow the trekkers to focus on the enjoyment of the journey and not be bothered by the paperwork and formalities.
سلامت و امنیت
One of the major concerns during the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is health and safety. The trek will lead to altitude levels such as the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft), where the climate can be tricky.
Experienced guides check on your status along the way and assist when necessary. Staying hydrated and carrying a basic medical kit, and walk at a steady pace, and listening to your guide.
The Everest Base Camp Heli Trek is an additional safety measure as it gives an option of getting an immediate helicopter lift back in case of need. This minimizes risks and has support in case of an emergency. When the trek is properly planned and well-aware, it is a lot safer and more enjoyable.
حمل و نقل
One of the significant aspects of the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is transportation. The trek starts with a flight between کاتماندو and Lukla at 2,860 m (9,383 ft), with scenic views of the Himalayas. The trek, starting from Lukla, proceeds on foot through villages and mountain tracks.
Once you have been to the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft), a helicopter will take you back and save time and energy. You can see a good aerial view of the mountains as you get on a helicopter and come back to Kathmandu.
The Everest Heli Trek is conveniently planned, as it is a mixture of trekking and air transport. It enables trekkers to enjoy the beauty of the region without undertaking the long walk back, thus making the journey easier and more efficient.
بیمه سفر
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek must be insured through travel insurance. The trek goes to high altitude, such as the Everest Base Camp (5,360 m / 17,585 ft), where anything can happen.
A proper insurance policy must be in place to cover emergency medical care, helicopter evacuation, and delays in trips. These are significant in remote areas of the mountains where medical facilities are not easily accessible.
The Deluxe Everest Heli Trek uses helicopter services, and hence insurance should include high altitude rescue services. Before setting off on the trip, ensure that your policy is good to go. Good insurance provides peace of mind and also ensures that you are covered on the trek.
مسیرهای جایگزین
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is not the only way to explore the Everest region. Some trekkers prefer to take longer paths, which involve Gokyo Lakes or the Three Passes Trek, so as to have a longer adventure.
These paths have varying scenery and sights, yet they all lead to high altitude, like the Everest Base Camp at (5,360 m / 17,585 ft). Nevertheless, they take more time and need more effort.
EBC Heli Trek is a favorite among individuals who favor a shorter and more comfortable one. It enables trekkers to see the key attractions of the area without having to take a long back trek. The right route is one that is determined by your time, fitness, and preferences during travel.
هزینههای اضافی شما
The package does not cover some of the personal expenses during the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek. These can be beverages such as bottled water, soft drinks, and snacks along the trail. Electronic device charging, hot showers, and WiFi services are usually billed as extra fees, particularly in higher elevations such as 4,410 m (14,469 ft) and higher.
You can also use money to buy souvenirs, personal equipment, or to tip guides and porters. The price will be higher in the higher elevations because of difficulties in transportation. Carrying around local cash is a good idea since you will hardly be able to use cards to make payments in isolated locations.
Everest Base Camp Heli Trek contains numerous inclusions, and it is best to plan additional costs to prevent the unexpected. Budgeting appropriately will help you have a smooth and comfortable journey during the trek.
زبان و ارتباطات
Generally, communication in the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Trek is not a problem. The language spoken is Nepali, although English is common in trekking regions. International travelers can easily communicate with the help of guides and lodge staff, and the journey can be stress-free and comfortable.
You can hear people speaking the Sherpa language in villages such as Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft). It is their traditional dialect. Speaking a little Nepali will help you to enjoy your time and establish friendly relations with people.
