Difficulty of Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return Trek
1. Tough Geography
The geography of this region leads to the different and strange structure and formation of trails making it a major difficulty for the Everest base camp trek with helicopter return trip. It lies above the proper geography of the mountains of Nepal having tough factors like topography, rough terrains, remote places, cliffs, and natural bodies.
These are the features of the Himalayas. So, most of the difficulty factor of this trek comes from the tough geography of the region. Also, the altitude comes from the geography, which makes it difficult to cross such long routes at such altitude. It makes geography one of the major factors that makes Everest Base Camp heli return trek a difficult one.
2. Higher Altitude
The altitude is another major factor that leads difficulty to in this trekking journey. It leads the problems like difficulty in breathing as well as difficulty of weakness due to the low presence of oxygen in the higher altitudes.
The elevation in Khumbu Region goes up to 5500m of height of elevation rom the sea level, making altitude another major problem. The person who also has acrophobia will find it tougher as you need to climb several ascending cliffs on the trail.
3. Altitude Sickness
It is also a major factor that adds difficulty to the journey of Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return. Altitude sickness can happen to anyone with a healthier person or an unhealthy person depending upon the precautions.
It happens due to the low amount of air pressure in the atmosphere especially at higher altitudes. It happens during any physical activities that need more respiration than usual or any activities that need quick body movement. It causes nausea, vomiting, headache, and weakness which can lead to serious concern. So, it always makes trekking over the Everest region a difficult one.
4. Remoteness
Remoteness is also a great reason for the difficulty of Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return. The trail goes inside one of the most remote parts of Nepal over the mountain region giving you no access to proper paths, modern services, medical support, etc, which makes it difficult to do a journey across the Everest trail.
5. Weather
Weather is another difficult factor that you need to tackle during this trekking journey, weather in the Himalayas is always very unpredictable during any season, even with the weather forecast making it very uncertain to plan about anything. The reason for being unpredictable is the higher altitude, temperature, pressure, humidity, and the direction of wind. The weather there is unpredictable; if you get a clear morning it could rain in the evening. It makes trekking in the Everest region more difficult.
6. Natural Damages
The natural dames are often a difficult factor during the Everest base camp trek with helicopter return. This can come from anywhere with natural causes and from the construction of routes. The soil and mud which we found in the mountain region is mostly rocky and easy to get erosion.
Sometimes during the construction of trails, hallow spaces remain below the routes which later lead to landslides. Such damages also make this trek a difficult one to tackle when you are at a higher altitude.
7. Medical or Physical Inability
It is mentionable because it is also a point to consider while trekking above the trail of the Khumbu region. It is due to personal inability or any kind of health issue that can make Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return trip way tougher than expected.
It is also because the trail that we will cover during this journey goes through the remote areas where the medical support is negligible. The medical inability similar to heart problems or lung problems can make it even worse.
And there is another factor for physical inability. But you do not need to worry, as if you will you can. Several such persons with personal inability have already done diverse treks and even climbed the summit of Mt. Everest, but it’s still a matter of special preparation and the management of a longer duration.

It is also a thing to consider that we need to be aware of the waterborne disease. So, we do not recommend any of our trekkers to drink any water directly from springs, streams, faucets, or any natural sources.
Teahouses and guesthouses in the Everest Region provide us the boiled or purified water by themselves, but during the trekking, we need to manage water on our own.
