Day 01: Arrival to Paro Airport and drive to Thimphu.
Glimpse of Bhutan Tour starts from the Paro Airport. Upon arrival in Paro, clear customs and immigration. Keep your copy of the visa clearance letter handy. P.P. size pictures are no longer required, and your visa has been paid for. Meet your Guide and driver outside the terminal building and transfer to Thimphu. Stroll around the city in the evening. Overnight.

Day 02: Thimphu / Punakha (75 Km, 3 Hours): After breakfast proceed on to visit Thimphu valley.
Visit Trashichhoedzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of the Government’s offices and the King’s Throne room. It is also the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. Then visit the National Library, which has a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts. After that, you will visit to Arts & Crafts School, which is famous for traditional thangkha paintings. Here you will see students at work producing intricate designs on cloth. Later visit Textile and Folk Heritage Museums, a fascinating testimony of the Bhutanese material culture and living traditions.
After lunch, you will have a visit to Handicrafts Emporium, which displays a wide assortment of beautifully hand-woven and crafted products. Then drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, who is popularly regarded as the Father of modern Bhutan. Day 03: Punakha / Wangduephodrang / Paro (150 Km, 5 Hours).
After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong, built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative centre of the region. Punakha Dzong has played an important role in Bhutan’s history. Damaged by four catastrophic fires and an earthquake, the Dzong has now been fully restored. Then drive to Wangdiphodrang, visiting the Dzong and the local market. The district of Wangdiphodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate, and stone carvings. After lunch, drive to Paro with a short stop at Dochula pass. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom, built in 1627; it now houses the School for Buddhist studies. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 04: Day Hike to Taktsang Gompa (Tiger’s Nest Temple).
After breakfast, take an excursion to Taktsang Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery, hence it is called Taktsang Gompa (Tiger’s Nest Temple). The excursion to the monastery takes about 5 hours for a round trip. Afternoon visit to the Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. Originally built as a Watch Tower since 1967, it is acting as the National Museum of the country and holding a fascinating collection of art, artifacts, thangkha paintings, and Bhutan’s exquisite postage stamps. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Cancellation policy on Tour :
Once the visa is processed & tour program is booked and subsequently canceled shall be subject to the following charges :
a) before 30 days of the start of the program – no charge
b) before 21 days – 10% of the rate
c) before 14 days – 15% of the rate
d) before 7 days – 30% of the rate
e) less than 7 days – 50% of the rate
f) 24 hours before the trip – 100% of the rate
Hotel policy:
During the festival period, there will be a 100% cancellation charge if canceled for less than 30 days and 50% if less than 60 days for accommodation only.
Visas policy:
Visa: for processing visas, we need a scanned color copy of the original passport (valid for at least 6 months during the time of visit to Bhutan).
Visa is approved upon the confirmation of the full tour payment and is issued by the Department of Immigration. Without this visa clearance number, tourists cannot board the flight or enter the country. A copy of this visa clearance will be forwarded to you to produce during the check-in at the respective airline counter as well as to the immigration authorities upon arrival at Paro international airport or other port of entry.
