Prior experience is not required to do paragliding in Nepal because the paragliding flights are launched by a fully trained and experienced guide having full knowledge about the Nepal Himalayas and local weather conditions too. 1. Hotel Pick-Up & Drive to Sarangkot (9:30 AM – 10:00 AM)
Your adventure begins with a hotel pick-up in Pokhara city. A comfortable vehicle will take you to Sarangkot, one of the most famous paragliding locations in Nepal. The drive takes around 30 minutes, offering scenic views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and the beautiful Pokhara Valley.
2. Briefing & Preparation (10:00 AM – 10:30 AM)
Upon arrival at the take-off site in Sarangkot (1,600 meters above sea level), you’ll receive a safety briefing from experienced paragliding pilots. They will explain the necessary flight instructions, safety measures, harness usage, and landing techniques. You’ll then be equipped with a helmet, harness, and other necessary gear.
3. Tandem Paragliding Flight (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
Once everything is set, you and your instructor will take off from Sarangkot Hill, soaring over Pokhara’s breathtaking landscapes. The actual flying time is approximately 25-30 minutes, depending on weather conditions. During the flight, you will enjoy aerial views of Phewa Lake, lush forests, terraced fields, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
You can choose different types of flight experiences:
- Standard Flight: A smooth, scenic glide over Pokhara.
- Acrobatic Flight: Includes thrilling maneuvers like spirals and wingovers for an adrenaline rush.
- Cross-Country Flight: A longer flight covering more distance and higher altitudes.
4. Landing at Phewa Lake Region (12:30 PM – 1:00 PM)
After enjoying a mesmerizing flight, your instructor will guide you for a safe landing near Phewa Lake. The descent offers a stunning view of Pokhara’s landscapes. Once you land, you’ll have time to relax and reflect on your thrilling experience.
5. Return Transfer to Your Hotel (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
After landing, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Pokhara city. You can opt for photo and video packages of your flight experience to keep as a memory.
